Point well made Tdoggins.

wheather killing for fun or meat, its legal. we are all hunters and if we don't stick together it will cause more problems for us hunters.

Read a bit of Capstick and you'll find that a wounded leopard is not an easy kill.

And I am sure that you would not scream like a child after being hit with something whose body is practically pure muscle and tenacity Thanatos? I think not. So yes you may scoff at these men, but under the conditions, if you yourself have not hunted under them i suggest you don't judge. By the way just because the trigger is pulled does not mean each one is a hit on the poor beast, It's rather hard to hit a charging leopard I'd imagine.

Never have I seen such a pathetic group of cowards! What a group to call themselves hunters! A disgrace! As mentioned above, to hunt for foos is one thing, to hunt for trophy is a poor excuse for you all to attempt to cover for you lack of manhood. The cat is an apex predator at the top of the food chain. It survived how many poorly placed shots from you fat slobs? The idiot, yes IDIOT, who was attacked has only seen the top of the food chain when he cut to the front of the line at McDonalds! You call yourselves hunters? What exactly did you do? You could not find the animal on your own, you needed a guide for that. You could not track it on your own, you needed a guide for that. You can't even kill the poor animal with multiple shots at point black range! When the animal makes it to you, you fall to the ground and scream like an scared infant. A hunter indeed. Pathetic!

I hate when morons complain about hunting methods that they deem morally inferior to their methods. The object for us as the alpha predators is to kill the correct number of other species to promote the health and long term welfare of the wildlife resources we are responsible for, and to raise money to help local people have the resources and motivation to do the same. We should do this as efficiently and as humanely as possible. It doesn't matter if you use a 50 caliber machine gun with night vision or a spear. You morons.

I do not agree with baiting cats, i can understand a hunter getting a permit to take out a problem animal or cattle thief but baiting is terrible. its like dangeling a doughnut in front of a cop. if you want to hunt them then track them down. the way the follow up was conducted was also a bit strange, they were way to far apart and you can clearly see there was confusion, and how no one was shot is a miracle. this is deffinately an education for others.

That one cat feed a whole village!!!

I agree with tpoole... I don't understand the logic in hunting and killing things for the sake of killing them, especially animals that are seriously dindling in numbers. I mean, what's the logic? "Let's kill one before they're gone!" Most hunters I know are conservationists. If I were there I think I'd actually be satisfied with just a camera, and no I'm not a hippy.
These cats are also crucial in the food chain as predators... They serve and important purpose that "Bwana, the great white hunter" here cannot. I liked hearing that guy screaming like a woman though. Real tough guys!

Myscubasuit, you need to do a little research before you make comments like the one you posted above!
The African is not in the least endangered, and is a very hard animal to hunt, and be successful. Most who hunt them spend an average of 30 days in Africa before they even see one of these very secertive nochternal animals.

The trophy fees for this one animal is utilized for the benefit of all wildlife, and human population in the area where they are taken. Me thinks you have been watching too much animal planet!

It is a real treat to hear a person find joy in the life thretening pain that is the usual infliction on a person who get popped by a leopard! I wounder how you would sound in the same sittuation!
