We made the decision to put the cow out of... We came upon this cow elephant that had stumbled into a poacher's snare and was crippled. Unfortunately poachers are an everyday reality in much of Africa. We made the decision to put the cow out of it's misery and use her meat for camp rations and also donated the majority of it to local villagers - very much appreciated by all.
